An Uncounted Era

An Uncounted Era

At one point in my career I was a photographer for the Asian and Ancient Art department, at the Art Institute of Chicago. My focus was to photograph the whole Japanese print collection. I photographed a variety of India, Chinese, Arab, Korean, Persian and pretty much any object found in the Asian Minor. The main project was the prints. I have always wanted to go to Japan. Tokyo looks like my kind of city. The last couple of days got me thinking . News regarding Japan’s Tohoku earthquake and tsunami played over and over. NRP, Channel 5, blogs, magazine covers as I walked by them on the street. Did I miss something? I may have. My heart goes out to a culture that has magnetism. I marvel at the bit of history I have learned in regards to Japan.  However there is nothing like having the experience of being there.
